The Academy for Tobacco Prevention Program Evaluation

An exciting opportunity to link research to practice!

You are invited to participate in a study entitled The Academy of Tobacco Prevention Program Evaluation.  This research is funded by Alberta Health Services, and directed by the University of Lethbridge.

The purpose of this research project is to evaluate and promote this newly created school-based youth tobacco prevention resource. The research is being conducted by Dr. Noella Piquette, Faculty of Education and Ms. Katherine Haight, Faculty of Health Sciences.

Research of this type is important to establish the impact of this newly developed prevention intervention in order to ensure that students and teachers are provided with effective resources needed to reduce the number of youth using tobacco in Alberta by 2022.
